महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-14, verse-35

साहं सर्वाधमा लोके स्त्रीणां भरतसत्तम ।
तथा विनिकृतामित्रैर्याहमिच्छामि जीवितुम् ॥३५॥
35. sāhaṁ sarvādhamā loke strīṇāṁ bharatasattama ,
tathā vinikṛtāmitrairyāhamicchāmi jīvitum.

tathā vinikṛtāmitraiḥ yā aham icchāmi jīvitum
35. bharatasattama,
sā aham strīṇām loke sarvādhamā.
tathā vinikṛtāmitraiḥ yā aham jīvitum icchāmi.
35. O best of Bharatas, I am the lowest of all women in the world, and yet, thus humiliated by my enemies, I still wish to live.
