महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-14, verse-17

यस्मिन्क्षमा च क्रोधश्च दानादाने भयाभये ।
निग्रहानुग्रहौ चोभौ स वै धर्मविदुच्यते ॥१७॥
17. yasminkṣamā ca krodhaśca dānādāne bhayābhaye ,
nigrahānugrahau cobhau sa vai dharmaviducyate.

nigrahānugrahau ca ubhau saḥ vai dharmavit ucyate
17. yasmin kṣamā ca krodhaḥ ca,
dānādāne ca,
bhayābhaye ca,

saḥ vai dharmavit ucyate.
17. He in whom are found both forgiveness and anger, both giving and taking, both fear and fearlessness, and both restraint and grace—he indeed is called a knower of natural law (dharma).
