महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-219, verse-39

तं पार्थेनाभये दत्ते नमुचेर्भ्रातरं मयम् ।
न हन्तुमैच्छद्दाशार्हः पावको न ददाह च ॥३९॥
39. taṁ pārthenābhaye datte namucerbhrātaraṁ mayam ,
na hantumaicchaddāśārhaḥ pāvako na dadāha ca.
39. tam pārtheṇa abhaye datte namuceḥ bhrātaram mayam
na hantum aicchat dāśārhaḥ pāvakaḥ na dadāha ca
39. When Partha (Arjuna) had given him (Maya), the brother of Namuci, assurance of safety, the Fire god (Agni), known as Dāśārha and Pāvaka, neither wished to kill him nor did he burn him.
