महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-219, verse-26

शतेनैकं च विव्याध शतं चैकेन पत्रिणा ।
व्यसवस्तेऽपतन्नग्नौ साक्षात्कालहता इव ॥२६॥
26. śatenaikaṁ ca vivyādha śataṁ caikena patriṇā ,
vyasavaste'patannagnau sākṣātkālahatā iva.
26. śatena ekam ca vivyādha śatam ca ekena patriṇā
vyasavaḥ te apatan agnau sākṣāt kālahatāḥ iva
26. He pierced one (foe) with a hundred arrows and a hundred (foes) with a single arrow. Those lifeless beings fell into the fire as if directly struck by Death (kāla).
