महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-219, verse-33

दीप्ताक्षो दीप्तजिह्वश्च दीप्तव्यात्तमहाननः ।
दीप्तोर्ध्वकेशः पिङ्गाक्षः पिबन्प्राणभृतां वसाम् ॥३३॥
33. dīptākṣo dīptajihvaśca dīptavyāttamahānanaḥ ,
dīptordhvakeśaḥ piṅgākṣaḥ pibanprāṇabhṛtāṁ vasām.
33. dīptākṣaḥ dīptajihvaḥ ca dīptavyāttamahānanaḥ
dīptordhvakeśaḥ piṅgākṣaḥ piban prāṇabhṛtām vasām
33. Its eyes blazing, its tongue blazing, its great, wide-open mouth blazing, its upright hair blazing, its eyes yellowish, it drank the vital essence (vasā) of living beings.
