जाग्रत्येवं विचारेण स्वप्नाभे पेलवे स्थिते ।
क्षीयमाणे शरत्काल इवैति तनुतां रसः ॥ ३१ ॥

31. When, through discernment (vicāra), this waking state stands revealed as fragile and dream-like, then the attachment or essence (rasa) of worldly things attains subtlety, diminishing as if in autumn.

31. כאשר הערות הופכת לעדינה ודמוית חלום באמצעות חקירה פנימית, בעודה דועכת, התשוקה לתענוגות הולכת ומצטמצמת כמו הלחות בעונת הסתיו.
