उन्मेषमात्रेणाहन्ता जगन्त्यनुभवत्यहो ।
न निमेषेण दृगिव सत्यानीत्यप्यसन्त्यलम् ॥ ४४ ॥

na nimeṣeṇa dṛgiva satyānītyapyasantyalam 44

44. Oh, the ego-sense (ahaṅkāra) perceives the worlds by its mere manifestation. Unlike an eye, whose perception ceases with its closing, these worlds, though seemingly real, are indeed utterly unreal.

44. ברגע פקיחת העין תחושת ה'אני' חווה עולמות, ובעצימת העין הם נעלמים, ממש כמו ראייה; למרות שהם נראים אמיתיים, הם אינם קיימים כלל.
