योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-18, verse-3

उपर्युपर्यन्तरतः कदलीदलपीठवत् ।
श्लिष्टाश्लिष्टस्वरूपाः खे मिथः संसृतयः स्थिताः ॥ ३ ॥

3. In space, the cycles of transmigration (saṃsṛtis) are situated one upon another, inwardly, like the layers of a banana leaf pedestal. Their nature is both clinging and non-clinging to each other.
