सर्वात्मनि स्थिताः सत्ये याः कचन्ति सुसंविदः ।
ता एवाभ्यासरूढार्थाः सादृश्यात्स्मृतयः स्मृताः ॥ २३ ॥

Those profound cognitions (susaṃvidaḥ) which appear in the universal Self (ātman) as reality, and whose meanings are deeply ingrained through repeated practice (abhyāsa), are, by similarity, considered memories (smṛtayaḥ).
