अनादिमध्यपर्यन्तं कुतः स्मृत्यादयस्ततः ॥ १८ ॥

Thus, indeed, this (idam) Brahman (brahma) is verily (eva) supreme (param) and unmoving (acalam). Because it is without beginning, middle, or end (anādimadhyaparyantam), from where then can memory (smṛti) and similar concepts (ādayaḥ) arise from that (Brahman)?
