योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-172, verse-45

अपृथ्व्यादि कुतस्तत्र किल पृथ्व्यादयो वद ।
तद्भाति केवलं शान्तं चिदाकाशं तथात्मनि ॥ ४५ ॥

apṛthvyādi kutastatra kila pṛthvyādayo vada ,
tadbhāti kevalaṃ śāntaṃ cidākāśaṃ tathātmani 45

45. a-pṛthvyādi kutaḥ tatra kila pṛthvyādayaḥ vada
tat bhāti kevalam śāntam cit ākāśam tathā ātmani

45. a-pṛthvyādi tatra pṛthvyādayaḥ kutaḥ kila vada
tat kevalam śāntam cit ākāśam tathā ātmani bhāti

45. When there is no earth and so forth, how then, can there truly be earths and so forth there? Please explain. That (ultimate reality) shines forth solely as the tranquil consciousness-ether, just as it does within the (ultimate) Self (ātman).
