इत्युक्तवान्झटिति भोजनभाजनाद्यं सर्वं जुहाव वनवासविलासयोग्यम् ।
तद्भाण्डजालमनले सममेव राजा कल्पान्ततेजसि जगज्ज्वलतीव कालः ॥ ४१ ॥

Having spoken thus, the king immediately cast all the utensils for eating and cooking, and other items suitable for the enjoyment of forest life, into the fire. He consigned that entire collection of goods to the flames, just as Time (kāla) at the end of a cosmic cycle (kalpānta) incinerates the world (jagat) with its blazing energy.
