योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-2, chapter-6, verse-13

अन्नभूता हि महतां लघवो यत्नशालिनाम् ।
यथेष्टं विनियोज्यन्ते तेन कर्मसु लोष्टवत् ॥ १३ ॥
annabhūtā hi mahatāṃ laghavo yatnaśālinām ,
yatheṣṭaṃ viniyojyante tena karmasu loṣṭavat 13
13. annabhūtāḥ hi mahatām laghavaḥ yatnaśālinām
yatheṣṭam viniyojyante tena karmasu loṣṭavat
13. hi laghavaḥ yatnaśālinām mahatām annabhūtāḥ,
tena yatheṣṭam karmasu loṣṭavat viniyojyante.
13. Indeed, the insignificant ones, even if diligent, become subservient (like food) to the great, and are, for that reason, employed by them as desired, like clods of earth in various tasks (karma).
