वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-44, verse-37

स वीरशोभामभजन्महाकपिः समेत्य रक्षांसि निहत्य मारुतिः ।
महासुरं भीमममित्रनाशनं यथैव विष्णुर्बलिनं चमूमुखे ॥३७॥
37. sa vīraśobhāmabhajanmahākapiḥ sametya rakṣāṃsi nihatya mārutiḥ ,
mahāsuraṃ bhīmamamitranāśanaṃ yathaiva viṣṇurbalinaṃ camūmukhe.
37. saḥ vīraśobhām abhajata mahākapiḥ
sametya rakṣāṃsi nihatya mārutiḥ
mahāsuram bhīmam amitranāśanam

37. That great monkey (Hanuman) attained heroic splendor. Maruti (Hanuman), having confronted and slain the Rākṣasas, did so just as Viṣṇu slew the terrible great demon, the destroyer of foes, Bali, in the vanguard of the army.
