वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-49, verse-13

काञ्चनोरश्छदान्दिव्यान्पिशाचवदनान् खरान् ।
तांश्चास्य जवसंपन्नाञ्जघान समरे बली ॥१३॥
13. kāñcanoraśchadāndivyānpiśācavadanān kharān ,
tāṃścāsya javasaṃpannāñjaghāna samare balī.
13. काञ्चनोरश्छदान् दिव्यान् पिशाचवदनान् खरान्
तान् च अस्य जवसंपन्नान् जघान समरे बली
13. बली समरे अस्य काञ्चनोरश्छदान् दिव्यान्
पिशाचवदनान् जवसंपन्नान् तान् खरान् च जघान
13. And the mighty Jaṭāyu, in battle, struck down those swift, divine donkeys of Ravana, which were adorned with golden breastplates and had faces like goblins.
