वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-35, verse-37

यमिच्छेत् पुनरायान्तं नैनं दूरमनुव्रजेत् ।
इत्यमात्या महाराजमूचुर्दशरथं वचः ॥३७॥
37. yamicchet punarāyāntaṃ nainaṃ dūramanuvrajet ,
ityamātyā mahārājamūcurdaśarathaṃ vacaḥ.
37. yam icchet punarāyāntam na enam dūram anuvrajet
iti amātyāḥ mahārājam ūcuḥ daśaratham vacaḥ
37. amātyāḥ mahārājam daśaratham iti vacaḥ ūcuḥ: yam punarāyāntam icchet,
enam dūram na anuvrajet.
37. "One should not follow far a person whom one wishes to return." Thus, the ministers spoke these words to the great King Dasharatha.
