बुधौ राशिकलाधिक्यत् ग्राह्वो नैवात्मकारकः ।
अंशाधिकः कारकः स्यादल्पभागोऽन्त्यकारकः ॥४॥

4. budhau rāśikalādhikyat grāhvo naivātmakārakaḥ .
aṃśādhikaḥ kārakaḥ syādalpabhāgo'ntyakārakaḥ.

4. buddhau rāśikalādhikyāt grāhyaḥ na eva ātmakārakaḥ
| aṃśādhikaḥ kārakaḥ syāt alpabhāgaḥ antyakārakaḥ

4. In discerning (the significators), a planet should certainly not be taken as the significator of the self (ātmakāraka) due to an excess of its signs and minutes (i.e., only degrees within a sign matter). The planet with the highest degrees should be the significator (kāraka), and the one with the lowest degrees is the final significator (antyakāraka).
