मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-78, verse-5

इदं स्तोत्रवरं रम्यं श्रोतव्यं श्रद्धया नरैः ।
शिष्यो भूत्वा समाधिस्थो दत्त्वा देयं गुरोरपि ॥५॥
5. idaṃ stotravaraṃ ramyaṃ śrotavyaṃ śraddhayā naraiḥ .
śiṣyo bhūtvā samādhistho dattvā deyaṃ gurorapi.
5. idam stotra-varam ramyam śrotavyam śraddhayā naraiḥ
śiṣyaḥ bhūtvā samādhisthaḥ dattvā deyam guroḥ api
5. This charming and excellent hymn should be listened to by people with faith (śraddhā). Having become a disciple, one should, while absorbed in meditation (samādhi), also give the due offering to the teacher (guru).
