मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-6, verse-30

अध्यास्याति पदं ब्राह्मं तस्मिन् सूते निपातिते ।
निष्क्रान्तास्ते द्विजाः सर्वे वनात् कृष्णाजिनाम्बराः ॥३०॥
30. adhyāsyāti padaṃ brāhmaṃ tasmin sūte nipātite .
niṣkrāntāste dvijāḥ sarve vanāt kṛṣṇājināmbarāḥ.
30. adhyāsya padam brāhmam tasmin sūte nipātite
niṣkrāntāḥ te dvijāḥ sarve vanāt kṛṣṇājināmbarāḥ
30. When that charioteer, having occupied the sacred (brahmic) position, was struck down, all those twice-born ones (dvija) departed from the forest, wearing garments of black antelope skin.
