ततः स बालो ववृधे शुक्लपक्षे यथा शशी ।
पितॄणां प्रीतिजनको जनस्येष्टश्च सोऽभवत् ॥११॥

11. tataḥ sa bālo vavṛdhe śuklapakṣe yathā śaśī .

Then that child grew just like the moon in its waxing phase (śuklapakṣa), and he became a source of joy for his ancestors and dear to the people.
