मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-125, verse-30

स्वयमर्जितवित्तानां ख्यातिं स्वयमुपेयुषाम् ।
स्वयं निस्तीर्णकृच्छ्राणां या गतिः साऽस्तु मे गतिः ॥३०॥
30. svayamarjitavittānāṃ khyātiṃ svayamupeyuṣām .
svayaṃ nistīrṇakṛcchrāṇāṃ yā gatiḥ sā'stu me gatiḥ.
30. svayamarjitavittānām khyātim svayamupeyuṣām
svayamnistīrṇakṛcchrāṇām yā gatiḥ sā astu me gatiḥ
30. Whatever destiny (gati) awaits those who have earned their own wealth, achieved their own fame, and overcome their own hardships – may that same destiny (gati) be mine.
