एवं तस्मान्नरैमर्मोक्षो ह्यतिक्रान्तैरवाप्यते ।
वर्षायुतायुतैः पापं यैः कृतं दुष्टबुद्धिभिः ॥९॥

9. evaṃ tasmānnaraimarmokṣo hyatikrāntairavāpyate .
varṣāyutāyutaiḥ pāpaṃ yaiḥ kṛtaṃ duṣṭabuddhibhiḥ.

evam tasmāt naraiḥ marmokṣaḥ hi atikrāntaiḥ avāpyate
varṣāyutāyutaiḥ pāpam yaiḥ kṛtam duṣṭabuddhibhiḥ

9.
Thus, therefore, by those men who, with wicked minds, committed sin (pāpa) for tens of thousands of years, release from intense suffering (mokṣa) is indeed attained.
