मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-12, verse-12

दन्तास्तेषाञ्च भज्यन्ते शीतार्तिपरिकम्पिताः ।
क्षुत्तृष्णाप्रबलास्तत्र तथैवान्येऽप्युपद्रवाः ॥१२॥
12. dantāsteṣāñca bhajyante śītārtiparikampitāḥ .
kṣuttṛṣṇāprabalāstatra tathaivānye'pyupadravāḥ.
12. dantāḥ teṣām ca bhajyante śītārtiparikampitāḥ
kṣuttṛṣṇāprabalāḥ tatra tathā eva anye api upadravāḥ
12. Their teeth, chattering violently from the cold's agony, are broken. Likewise, other afflictions such as intense hunger and thirst are also prevalent there.
