मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-12, verse-27

पत्राणि तत्र खङ्गानां फलानि द्विजसत्तमम् ।
श्वानश्च तत्र सबलाः स्वनन्त्ययुतशोभिताः ॥२७॥
27. patrāṇi tatra khaṅgānāṃ phalāni dvijasattamam .
śvānaśca tatra sabalāḥ svanantyayutaśobhitāḥ.
27. patrāṇi tatra khaṅgānām phalāni dvija-sattamam
śvānaḥ ca tatra sabalāḥ svananti ayuta-śobhitāḥ
27. O best of the twice-born (dvija)! In that place, the leaves are like swords, and the fruits [are likewise horrifying]. And there, strong dogs, appearing in tens of thousands, bark loudly.
