मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-12, verse-19

तावद् यावदशेषं वै तत्पापं हि क्षयं गतम् ।
अप्रतिष्ठञ्च नरकं शृणुष्व गदतो मम ॥१९॥
19. tāvad yāvadaśeṣaṃ vai tatpāpaṃ hi kṣayaṃ gatam .
apratiṣṭhañca narakaṃ śṛṇuṣva gadato mama.
19. tāvat yāvat aśeṣam vai tatpāpam hi kṣayam gatam
apratiṣṭham ca narakam śṛṇuṣva gadataḥ mama
19. This continues until that sin (pāpa) is indeed completely exhausted. Now, listen to me as I describe the impermanent hell (naraka).
