मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-12, verse-39

कृतावर्ते महातैले मथ्यन्ते पापकर्मिणः ।
एष ते विस्तरेणोक्तस्तप्तकुम्भो मया पितः ॥३९॥
39. kṛtāvarte mahātaile mathyante pāpakarmiṇaḥ .
eṣa te vistareṇoktastaptakumbho mayā pitaḥ.
39. kṛtāvarte mahātaile mathyante pāpakārmiṇaḥ |
eṣaḥ te vistareṇa uktaḥ tapta-kumbhaḥ mayā pitaḥ
39. The sinners (pāpakārmiṇaḥ) are churned in the vast oil where whirlpools are formed. This hot cauldron has been described by me to you in detail, O father.
