महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-10, verse-2

अभिसारस्तु तं राजा नवभिर्निशितैः शरैः ।
श्रुतकर्माणमाहत्य सूतं विव्याध पञ्चभिः ॥२॥
2. abhisārastu taṁ rājā navabhirniśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ,
śrutakarmāṇamāhatya sūtaṁ vivyādha pañcabhiḥ.
2. abhīsāraḥ tu tam rājā navabhiḥ niśitāiḥ śaraiḥ
śrutakarmāṇam āhatya sūtam vivyādha pañcabhiḥ
2. tu rājā abhīsāraḥ navabhiḥ niśitāiḥ śaraiḥ tam
śrutakarmāṇam āhatya pañcabhiḥ sūtam vivyādha
2. But King Abhisāra, having struck that Śrutakarmā with nine sharp arrows, then pierced his charioteer with five (arrows).
