महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-10, verse-13

ततोऽपरेण भल्लेन भृशं तीक्ष्णेन सत्वरः ।
जहार सशिरस्त्राणं शिरस्तस्य महात्मनः ॥१३॥
13. tato'pareṇa bhallena bhṛśaṁ tīkṣṇena satvaraḥ ,
jahāra saśirastrāṇaṁ śirastasya mahātmanaḥ.

jahāra saśirastrāṇam śiraḥ tasya mahātmanaḥ

13. Then, swiftly, with another very sharp broad-headed arrow (bhalla), he took away the head, along with its helmet, of that great-souled one (mahātman).
