महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-77, verse-7

दिष्ट्या त्विदानीं संप्राप्त एष ते बाणगोचरम् ।
स यथा जीवितं जह्यात्तथा कुरु धनंजय ॥७॥
7. diṣṭyā tvidānīṁ saṁprāpta eṣa te bāṇagocaram ,
sa yathā jīvitaṁ jahyāttathā kuru dhanaṁjaya.
7. diṣṭyā tu idānīm saṃprāptaḥ eṣaḥ te bāṇagocaram
saḥ yathā jīvitam jahyāt tathā kuru dhanaṃjaya
7. diṣṭyā tu idānīm eṣaḥ te bāṇagocaram saṃprāptaḥ
dhanaṃjaya saḥ yathā jīvitam jahyāt tathā kuru
7. Fortunately, this one has now come within the range of your arrows. Therefore, act in such a way, O Dhanaṃjaya, that he may give up his life.
