महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-85, verse-36

अश्वत्थाम्नि कृपे चैव तथैव कृतवर्मणि ।
तथेतरेषु क्रुद्धेषु तावकानामपि क्षयः ॥३६॥
36. aśvatthāmni kṛpe caiva tathaiva kṛtavarmaṇi ,
tathetareṣu kruddheṣu tāvakānāmapi kṣayaḥ.
