महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-8, verse-21

अज्ञातवासं घोरं च वसता दुष्करं कृतम् ।
दुःखमेव कुतः सौख्यं राज्यभ्रष्टस्य भारत ॥२१॥
21. ajñātavāsaṁ ghoraṁ ca vasatā duṣkaraṁ kṛtam ,
duḥkhameva kutaḥ saukhyaṁ rājyabhraṣṭasya bhārata.
21. ajñātavāsam ghoram ca vasatā duṣkaram kṛtam
duḥkham eva kutaḥ saukhyam rājyabhraṣṭasya bhārata
21. Indeed, a terrible and difficult task was accomplished by living in exile (ajñātavāsa). For one who has lost their kingdom, where is happiness? There is only sorrow, O Bhārata.
