महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-71, verse-30

शमं चेद्याचमानस्त्वं न धर्मं तत्र लप्स्यसे ।
कुरून्विगर्हयिष्यन्ति धृतराष्ट्रं च पार्थिवाः ॥३०॥
30. śamaṁ cedyācamānastvaṁ na dharmaṁ tatra lapsyase ,
kurūnvigarhayiṣyanti dhṛtarāṣṭraṁ ca pārthivāḥ.
30. śamam cet yācamānaḥ tvam na dharmam tatra lapsyase
kurūn vigarhayiṣyanti dhṛtarāṣṭram ca pārthivāḥ
30. If you, while seeking peace, do not uphold the natural law (dharma) in that situation, then other kings will condemn the Kurus and Dhritarashtra.
