मां चैव धृतराष्ट्रं च पूर्वमेव महाद्युते ।
चित्रकार इवालेख्यं कृत्वा मा स्म विनाशय ।
प्रजापतिः प्रजाः सृष्ट्वा यथा संहरते तथा ॥२२॥
चित्रकार इवालेख्यं कृत्वा मा स्म विनाशय ।

22. māṁ caiva dhṛtarāṣṭraṁ ca pūrvameva mahādyute ,
citrakāra ivālekhyaṁ kṛtvā mā sma vināśaya ,
prajāpatiḥ prajāḥ sṛṣṭvā yathā saṁharate tathā.

22.
O greatly effulgent one, do not destroy me and Dhṛtarāṣṭra, whom you created in the first place, just as a painter does not destroy his own painting. Do not act like Prajāpati, who, having created beings, also destroys them.
