वासुदेव उवाच ।
भीष्मेणोक्ते ततो द्रोणो दुर्योधनमभाषत ।
मध्ये नृपाणां भद्रं ते वचनं वचनक्षमः ॥१॥

1. Vāsudeva said: After Bhīṣma had spoken, Droṇa, who was skilled in discourse, then addressed Duryodhana among the kings, (saying,) 'May good fortune be upon you,' and offered his counsel.
