महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-259, verse-39

दशग्रीवस्तु दैत्यानां देवानां च बलोत्कटः ।
आक्रम्य रत्नान्यहरत्कामरूपी विहंगमः ॥३९॥
39. daśagrīvastu daityānāṁ devānāṁ ca balotkaṭaḥ ,
ākramya ratnānyaharatkāmarūpī vihaṁgamaḥ.
39. daśagrīvaḥ tu daityānām devānām ca balotkaṭaḥ
ākramya ratnāni aharat kāmarūpī vihaṅgamaḥ
39. But Dashagriva (Ravana), immensely powerful among both the Daityas and the gods, having attacked, seized the treasures. He was capable of assuming any form at will (kāmarūpī) and traveled through the air (vihaṅgama).
