एवमुक्तो दशग्रीवस्तुष्टः समभवत्तदा ।

27. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ,
evamukto daśagrīvastuṣṭaḥ samabhavattadā ,
avamene hi durbuddhirmanuṣyānpuruṣādakaḥ.

Mārkaṇḍeya said, 'Having been addressed thus, Daśagrīva (Ravana) became satisfied then. Indeed, that foolish man-eater (puruṣādaka) despised humans.'
