महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-259, verse-4

तास्तदा तं महात्मानं संतोषयितुमुद्यताः ।
ऋषिं भरतशार्दूल नृत्तगीतविशारदाः ॥४॥
4. tāstadā taṁ mahātmānaṁ saṁtoṣayitumudyatāḥ ,
ṛṣiṁ bharataśārdūla nṛttagītaviśāradāḥ.
4. tāḥ tadā tam mahā-ātmānam saṃtoṣayitum udyatāḥ
| ṛṣim bharata-śārdūla nṛtta-gīta-viśāradāḥ
4. O best of the Bharatas, those women, who were skilled in dance and song, were then ready to satisfy that great-souled (mahā-ātman) sage (ṛṣi).
