महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-72, verse-9

बुद्धौ कलुषभूतायां विनाशे प्रत्युपस्थिते ।
अनयो नयसंकाशो हृदयान्नापसर्पति ॥९॥
9. buddhau kaluṣabhūtāyāṁ vināśe pratyupasthite ,
anayo nayasaṁkāśo hṛdayānnāpasarpati.

9. When the intellect (buddhi) becomes tainted and destruction (vināśa) is impending, then unsound counsel, which appears to be proper policy, does not leave the heart.
