महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-72, verse-21

आसीन्निष्टानको घोरो निर्घातश्च महानभूत् ।
दिवोल्काश्चापतन्घोरा राहुश्चार्कमुपाग्रसत् ।
अपर्वणि महाघोरं प्रजानां जनयन्भयम् ॥२१॥
21. āsīnniṣṭānako ghoro nirghātaśca mahānabhūt ,
divolkāścāpatanghorā rāhuścārkamupāgrasat ,
aparvaṇi mahāghoraṁ prajānāṁ janayanbhayam.
21. āsīt niṣṭānakaḥ ghoraḥ nirghātaḥ ca
mahān abhūt divolkāḥ ca āpatan ghorāḥ
rāhuḥ ca arkam upāgrasat aparvaṇi
mahāghoram prajānām janayan bhayam
21. There was a dreadful roar, and a great thunderclap occurred. Furthermore, terrible meteors fell from the sky, and Rahu eclipsed the sun at an inauspicious time, thereby generating extremely dreadful fear among the people.
