महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-72, verse-36

एवं गावल्गणे क्षत्ता धर्मार्थसहितं वचः ।
उक्तवान्न गृहीतं च मया पुत्रहितेप्सया ॥३६॥
36. evaṁ gāvalgaṇe kṣattā dharmārthasahitaṁ vacaḥ ,
uktavānna gṛhītaṁ ca mayā putrahitepsayā.

36. Thus, O Sañjaya (son of Gavalgala), the charioteer (Vidura) spoke words consistent with righteousness (dharma) and purpose, but they were not accepted by me due to my strong desire for the welfare of my sons.
