महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-66, verse-36

अथाब्रवीन्महाराजो गान्धारीं धर्मदर्शिनीम् ।
अन्तः कामं कुलस्यास्तु न शक्ष्यामि निवारितुम् ॥३६॥
36. athābravīnmahārājo gāndhārīṁ dharmadarśinīm ,
antaḥ kāmaṁ kulasyāstu na śakṣyāmi nivāritum.
36. atha abravīt mahārājaḥ gāndhārīm dharmadarśinīm
antaḥ kāmam kulasya astu na śakṣyāmi nivārayitum
36. Then the great king (Dhṛtarāṣṭra) spoke to Gāndhārī, who was discerning in righteousness (dharma): "Let the family's ruin certainly come to pass. I am unable to prevent it."
