महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-55, verse-3

सर्वेषामृषिपुत्राणामेष चासीन्मनोरथः ।
औत्तङ्कीं गुरुवृत्तिं वै प्राप्नुयामिति भारत ॥३॥
3. sarveṣāmṛṣiputrāṇāmeṣa cāsīnmanorathaḥ ,
auttaṅkīṁ guruvṛttiṁ vai prāpnuyāmiti bhārata.
3. sarveṣām ṛṣiputrāṇām eṣaḥ ca āsīt manorathaḥ
auttaṅkīm guruvṛttim vai prāpnuyām iti bhārata
3. bhārata sarveṣām ṛṣiputrāṇām eṣaḥ manorathaḥ
ca āsīt auttaṅkīm guruvṛttim vai prāpnuyām iti
3. O Bhārata, this was indeed the desire of all the sons of sages: 'May I achieve a devotion to my guru (guruvṛtti) like Uttanka's!'
