दक्षिणा परितोषो वै गुरूणां सद्भिरुच्यते ।
तव ह्याचरतो ब्रह्मंस्तुष्टोऽहं वै न संशयः ॥२१॥

dakṣiṇā paritoṣo vai gurūṇāṁ sadbhirucyate ,
tava hyācarato brahmaṁstuṣṭo'haṁ vai na saṁśayaḥ.

Gautama said: "Indeed, the satisfaction of teachers is declared by the virtuous to be the proper fee (dakṣiṇā). I am certainly pleased with your conduct, O Brahmin; there is no doubt about it."
