महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-55, verse-20

उत्तङ्क उवाच ।
गुर्वर्थं कं प्रयच्छामि ब्रूहि त्वं द्विजसत्तम ।
तमुपाकृत्य गच्छेयमनुज्ञातस्त्वया विभो ॥२०॥
20. uttaṅka uvāca ,
gurvarthaṁ kaṁ prayacchāmi brūhi tvaṁ dvijasattama ,
tamupākṛtya gaccheyamanujñātastvayā vibho.
20. uttaṅka uvāca | gurvartham kam prayacchāmi brūhi tvam
dvijasattama | tat upākṛtya gaccheyam anujñātaḥ tvayā vibho
20. uttaṅka uvāca dvijasattama vibho,
tvam brūhi gurvartham kam prayacchāmi tat upākṛtya tvayā anujñātaḥ [aham] gaccheyam.
20. Uttanka said: "O best among Brahmins, O mighty one, tell me what I should offer as a teacher's fee. Having presented that, I shall depart, having been permitted by you."
