महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-54, verse-12

उत्तङ्क उवाच ।
अवश्यकरणीयं वै यद्येतन्मन्यसे विभो ।
तोयमिच्छामि यत्रेष्टं मरुष्वेतद्धि दुर्लभम् ॥१२॥
12. uttaṅka uvāca ,
avaśyakaraṇīyaṁ vai yadyetanmanyase vibho ,
toyamicchāmi yatreṣṭaṁ maruṣvetaddhi durlabham.
12. uttaṅkaḥ uvāca avaśya-karaṇīyam vai yadi etat manyase
vibho toyam icchāmi yatra iṣṭam maruṣu etat hi durlabham
12. uttaṅkaḥ uvāca vibho,
yadi etat avaśya-karaṇīyam vai manyase,
toyam icchāmi yatra iṣṭam hi etat maruṣu durlabham
12. Uttanka said: 'If you consider this to be certainly accomplishable, O All-pervading Lord (vibho), then I desire water wherever it is wished, for this (water) is indeed difficult to obtain in deserts.'
