महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-10, verse-5

मरुत्त उवाच ।
त्वं चैवैतद्वेत्थ पुरंदरश्च विश्वेदेवा वसवश्चाश्विनौ च ।
मित्रद्रोहे निष्कृतिर्वै यथैव नास्तीति लोकेषु सदैव वादः ॥५॥

tvaṁ caivaitadvettha puraṁdaraśca; viśvedevā vasavaścāśvinau ca ,
mitradrohe niṣkṛtirvai yathaiva; nāstīti lokeṣu sadaiva vādaḥ.

purandaraḥ ca viśvedevāḥ vasavaḥ ca
aśvinau ca mitradrohe niṣkṛtiḥ vai yathā

5. Marutta said: 'You (the messenger Dhṛtarāṣṭra) and Purandara (Indra), along with the Viśvedevas, Vasus, and the two Aśvins, all know this truth: there is indeed no atonement for treachery against a friend. This is always the established principle among people.'
