कामं यथावद्विहितं विधात्रा पृष्टेन वाच्यं तु मया यथावत् ।
तपो हि नान्यच्चानशनान्मतं मे नमोऽस्तु ते देववर प्रसीद ॥४१॥

That which has been properly ordained by the creator (Vidhātā) must be stated precisely by me when questioned. Indeed, I consider no other austerity (tapas) to be superior to fasting. Salutations to you, O best of gods; be gracious!
