भृगुं हि यदि सोऽद्राक्षीन्नहुषः पृथिवीपते ।
न स शक्तोऽभविष्यद्वै पातने तस्य तेजसा ॥२४॥

24. bhṛguṁ hi yadi so'drākṣīnnahuṣaḥ pṛthivīpate ,
na sa śakto'bhaviṣyadvai pātane tasya tejasā.

24. bhṛgum hi yadi saḥ adrākṣīt nahuṣaḥ pṛthivīpate
na saḥ śaktaḥ abhaviṣyat vai pātane tasya tejasā

24. pṛthivīpate yadi nahuṣaḥ bhṛgum hi adrākṣīt saḥ
tasya pātane tejasā na śaktaḥ vai abhaviṣyat

24. O lord of the earth, if Nahusha had indeed seen Bhrigu, Bhrigu would certainly not have been able to cause his (Nahusha's) fall with his (Bhrigu's) spiritual power.
