भृगुरुवाच ।
यस्मात्पदाहनः क्रोधाच्छिरसीमं महामुनिम् ।
तस्मादाशु महीं गच्छ सर्पो भूत्वा सुदुर्मते ॥२२॥

22. bhṛguruvāca ,
yasmātpadāhanaḥ krodhācchirasīmaṁ mahāmunim ,
tasmādāśu mahīṁ gaccha sarpo bhūtvā sudurmate.

22. bhṛguḥ uvāca yasmāt padā ahanaḥ krodhāt śirasi imam
mahāmunim tasmāt āśu mahīm gaccha sarpaḥ bhūtvā sudurmate

22. bhṛguḥ uvāca.
yasmāt krodhāt padā imam mahāmunim śirasi ahanaḥ,
tasmāt he sudurmate,
āśu sarpaḥ bhūtvā mahīm gaccha.

22. Bhṛgu said: 'Because you, in anger, struck the head of this great sage with your foot, therefore, O very evil-minded one, quickly go to the earth, becoming a snake!'
