पिता माता च सर्वस्य जगतः शाश्वतो गुरुः ।
कं त्वद्य यजसे देवं पितरं कं न विद्महे ॥२६॥

26. pitā mātā ca sarvasya jagataḥ śāśvato guruḥ ,
kaṁ tvadya yajase devaṁ pitaraṁ kaṁ na vidmahe.

kam tu adya yajase devam pitaram kam na vidmahe

26. sarvasya jagataḥ pitā mātā ca śāśvataḥ guruḥ (asti).

26. He is the eternal father, mother, and preceptor of the entire universe. But today, which god, which father, do you worship? We do not know (him).
